Solano Family & Children’s Services offers a wide variety of support and information related to child care, child development, and supportive parenting resources. We are happy to help you with your child care needs in Solano County. We offer free Child Care Referral listings to families searching for care in Solano County. Our “Choosing Childcare Brochure“ Acrobat Reader Required is a helpful resource during your search. We are host to the Solano County chapter of Parent Voices, which is a parent advocacy group working to make child care affordable, accessible and high quality for all children.

If you believe you qualify to receive help paying for child care, please contact our Subsidized Child Care program to discuss your case or visit “Financial Help with Child Care” page.

We have several services that you and your child care provider can take advantage of. We offer on-going workshops and training on topics such as Child Development, Guidance and Discipline, Health and Nutrition, Activities for children of all ages, etc.

Please come and visit our Lending Library which is open to the public during our regular business hours or take a virtual tour when you visit the “Lending Library” page. We offer the materials free of charge and are always happy to take donations of gently used books and educational materials for the library.

If you use a Licensed Family Child Care Home or TrustLine Provider, our Child Care Food Program can partially reimburse the provider for the nutritious meals they feed your children, as well as offer them resources and technical assistance to support good nutrition.

We offer technical assistance that is directly related to searching for child care, parenting, and related services in the community. We also offer Internet Resources that may help you with your other needs.
